So I'm working on my JHU application where I am applying ED for ME. I am submitting 3 essays, 2 for the supplement and 1 from the common app. Anyways 1 for the supplement asks for you to describe a community in which you are apart of in any medium you would like. Now the real question is: is it worth taking a risk in medium? I was thinking doing something artistic or musical, but I am not sure because I wrote a really nice as well. I am afraid the essay won't being taking full advantage of the possibility in the question. Plus, how far should you stretch the def. of community?

send them details of your civilization in Spore and invite them as buddies so they can interact with your species

You might consider a nontraditional medium if you actually have a demonstrated record of skill and success with that medium.

I would not recommend “winging it” in a medium in which you have no significant experience or expertise.

If you are doing the medium, how are you still submitting 3 essays? I thought one was the common app/communities one, and the why hopkins/major one?
