In at Florida State??

Well I live in Florida. I'm really into art history and I want to go to a liberal arts college or a university with a solid liberal arts curriculum.

I've already applied to Florida State, City College of New York and UF (although now I really don't want to go there). So far my top choice is FSU, only because of their strong liberal arts department and scholarships. I would love to go out of state if I don't get into FSU, but only to northeastern states (especially New York, Mass. and Pennsylvania). Ok, so enough rambling, these are my stats.. please let me know where I have a chance and some other schools I should consider applying to. Thanks!

great art schools or universities with strong liberal arts would be terrific!

You look like a strong candidate for FSU admission.
How are you able to take such full course loads in the summer online?
That is very impressive how many credits you were able to complete.

Very impressive credentials. Retake the SAT/ACT and try for higher scores.

Apply EARLY!

Just apply, it really is just hit or miss..

I'll give you 85% chance to hit in though.

HAHAH you're from killian?i'm from palmetto.we're rivals xD haha.

Belen over here :). We're a couple classes below

Coral reef right here. You guys may be better than us at sports but we got you in academics :)

Lol not us :)

Thanks everyone :} The courses I took during the summer were online on FLVS na d weren't hard.. the only one I struggled in was Marine Biology because my teacher wanted my labs to be perfect. AP Art History was the easiest AP class I took and the other courses were regular. I applied to FSU the first day applications were available online.. well the second day because the site wasn't accepting my essay. I know my SAT scores are low and ACT.. I took my SAT twice, I'm really bad at tests or just dumb. But thanks everyone, any other schools I should consider in or out of state??

I'd say you have a shot at Boston University

Boston University and Boston College are both around 30,000 + a year..

Good luck with that... O_o

If you can afford it, then can you pay for my college too?

;)

lol no I can't afford that

Just throwing out ideas void of monetary factors

If you are interested in a liberal arts education, also apply to New College of Florida (D1 goes there and is so happy!).

It's nice to have options come April...that's why D2 will apply to FSU and UF, as well as New College this year.

I happen to be from Sarasota... NCF is essentially a safehaven for the most liberal-minded wackos you can possibly meet. Don't mean that in a bad way, necessarily ;-)

It's actually an amazing LAC and in terms of prestige/dollar value is undoubtedly the best bargain on education for in-state students. Only problem is that it has zero research and offers no advanced degrees (which is to be expected out of LAC, so perhaps this is irrelevant). The grading system is REALLY loose. As far as I know everything is pass/fail and students are responsible for their own grading in a lot of areas.

I'm from sarasota too. I'll second what ladistar said.

The Sarasota Mafia includes...me.

hiphop/parent2noles did any of your family go to Riverview/Sarasota High?

We had friends attend Riverview, but it my daughters attended VHS and PV.

Yes, SHS and PVS
