its very possible to get rejected by the business school but still go to UT..... most ppl start off in the liberal arts school and then transfer into the business school......but its not 100% that you will get into the business school if you do wanna transfer so gpa is pretty important

what does "internal applicants" mean? texas' students only? i posted my stats also in UT austin so would you mind evaluating my chances? it should be pretty easy to find.

dcfca....how difficult is it to get a 3.7+ GPA freshman year so that you can internally transfer into business....i know it depends on the classes but how hard is it to you?.....also, what GPA do you need in the business school so they dont kick you out or something

well not really...you first of all have to have a certain GPA (around 3.6) to even apply and out of those, 2/3 make it in. It is based solely on college GPA - they start w/ the 4.0s and work their way down I think.

Getting the GPA around 3.7.... ideally you want to be above 3.5 or so for the most part. I wont say that its easy but I wont say it's extremely difficult either. It really depends on what courses you take and the amount of work you're willing to put in. It's def. doable, that's for sure.

UT GPA. But you see, sometimes it's advantageous to transfer credits. Ie: some people are simply weak in math so they choose to take Calculus at ACC. It's good for them because if they had taken it at UT they'd probably end up with a C or something, but since it's taken at ACC only the credit transfer.s
