I’m waiting for my likely. I don’t think I’ll have too much trouble waiting until December, but the wait for the LL to get here is brutal

if the coach said he/she is sending you a LL, it’ll come! and an IVY LL is as good as in, congrats!!! Contrary to some of the banter that goes on here, coaches are honest, hard working, and want to help kids/young athletes. And they want to win:)

My athlete is fairly relaxed about the whole thing, I’m the wreck:) And there’s no LL on the path she’s on.

IN:)

Holding my breathe for 5 weeks was hard!

Congrats!!! It’s awesome to have it all taken care of so early…

Congratulations Pacheight! Enjoy the holidays with this special gift!

thanks! it’s unreal, the recruited athlete experience and parent of a recruit experience.

what an experience!

Yes, and it’s also nice to have this forum where we can share these exciting experiences.

Congratulations.

Great news! Congrats to her, and to you for helping put it together.

Posted this on a different thread, but as a caution-

my S was told by a highly selective LAC DIII coach- send in your ed app and I’ll support you, no prob, you’re in, and due to CC advice, I asked for an admissions “walk-thru” before I let my son “push the button”-
every day for a week another e-mail- admisssions person away, just a few more days, looking good, should be soon, then a phone call on the 5th of Nov-“So sorry, things have changed, still wish you would apply ED, and love to have you on the team, but no slot for you, so no guarantee”.
My S was devastated, but luckily hadn’t wasted his ED app. I think an Ivy hopeful with better stats showed up-and no spot for my S. So be very careful, coaches want lots of prospects, and they are definitely hedging their bets.

oldb…good advice. but this is “in” from admissions and in writing.
also loi signing is this week

pacheight, congratulations! I’ve been out of town and missed your post…whew!

thanks!

it is pretty cool to have it done. Now comes the loi and possible press releases!

Good luck, nice job, I’m happy for you and that all your hard work paid off.

Very exciting!! I can’t wait until DS is at that point! His HS coach thinks we’re nuts for applying to so many places when a DI coach has already said he can run there, but we want to make sure it’s the best school for him.
