In danger of colleges/universities?

Hi, I am an Asian male sophmore at a public high school.
I have always aimed high and wanted to go to very prestigious schools, however my recent GPA from freshman year and this year have been troubling me.

I received the following grades freshman year:

1 2 Semesters

A A Pre-calculus
B+ B AP Biology Final AP Score: 3
A A Honors Spanish 1-2
A A Honors Freshman English
A A Active Fitness (1st) Health (2nd) (Could not fit any of my wanted courses in here)
A A AP Human Geography Final AP Score: 5

1 Semester

A- Honors Spanish 3-4
A AP World History
B Honors Chemistry
A Honors Sophmore English
A AP Calculus
A Orchestra

I also participate in numerous extracurricular activities such as Red Cross Club (Treasurer), NHS, Science Olympiad (Won 3rd and 4th in Regionals and a 3rd place medal in State last year as a freshman), Mu Alpha Theta are the clubs in school I attend.

I also go to my Southwest Washington Red Cross Youth Council and volunteer hours upon end weekly over the year as well as attend a youth philharmonic named PYP which takes up 5-10 pm on Mondays and 4-8pm on Wednesdays.

I do not attend any sports, I have taken the PSAT as a sophmore getting a 98% among Juniors and although I am aware that these score is not given to colleges, I am confident I could repeat the feat or improve on the score in my junior year.

My highest goal has been Stanford, but would enjoy going to schools such as Cornell, University of Washington in Saint Louis, Dartmouth, or Berkley.

What are my chances of getting into these schools? If there are any changes I should make or put more of my priorities I would greatly appreciate it.

You’re only a sophomore.

It is too early to “chance” you. You don’t have junior year grades, and you don’t have an ACT or SAT score (colleges don’t see PSAT scores - not even ones from junior year.).

Besides chancing at ivies and elites is impossible. Those schools reject kids with perfect scores/stats all the time.

I don’ think you’re in danger “of” colleges and universities. They’re not going to hurt you. ;)

But seriously, I agree with the poster above. While it’s not too early to start thinking about college, it’s definitely too early to chance you, esepcially without scores, etc. You should be fine; either way admissions is still pretty much a toss up.

Your grades are very acceptable for the most selective colleges. Anyway, some top schools, like Princeton, IIRC, ignore freshman year. They’re still fine though.
Obviously, it’s much too early to do any chancing, but if you jeep your grades where they are, continue your ECs, and have SAT scores that match up with PSAT, that’ll do.

You aren’t in danger
