IN DEEP TROUBLE help with choosing a major

i'm looking at a 3.65 with an F replaced because i thought i dropped the class but didn't. was looking at business for assist and freaked out. i have the 7 breadth done for haas but i doubt i'd get in. i did the honors program, have a job. i have no idea what major to choose now. i'll be honest and say i have all a's, 1 b in physics, 1 c in sex ed (terrible class it was), and the worst thing is a D in accounting (by the way can this be replaced by retaking the class?). i'm now lost on what major to choose because let's face it, there are so many easy majors to apply with and get in. i want to go to la or berkeley but i doubt i'd get in there for business. i have no idea what i want as a major now. this probably sounded really stupid but i'm so lost.

I know an F is definitely replaceable but I’m not sure about a D. I would think it is, but I would ask either a UC rep or your CC to see whether you can replace the grade.

So, are you going to be TAP certified when you apply?

mochi> Yes, you can retake a D.

I don’t think UCLA has business anyway (they do have business econ though?). Correct me if I’m wrong… And Biz Econ would be a long shot even with TAP.

You can retake a D.

I’d say do something you want to do. Lamest advice ever, right? (: Just don’t do something because it’s easy to get into. If it’s easy and you like it, then yay.

I’m not sure how many courses you have taken, but if it is a lot I would suggest you choose a major, other than business, that requires the courses you have taken. You don’t want to have taken those courses for naught.

When I first started out at CC, I was only interested in transferring to SDSU for business. I didn’t realize the high acceptance rates of transfer students to top-level universities within the state. Unfortunately, I had already begun taking classes to satisfy SDSU’s transfer requirements, so now I’m stuck with some courses that although transferable, will not go towards major requirements at a UC.
