Hi ,
I was extremely sick when I submitted my college applications. I guess I should have waited to get better, but I was scared that my condition might get worse so, I decided to submit my application.
As expected I made a few errors. I have written to the admissions committee. It has been more than 10 days and I haven’t received a reply from them. Should I mail them again and ask for the status??
Please help me. I am so worried I can hardly sleep.
They have likely received your email but have not been able to respond because they have been receiving so many other applications and are currently going through them. What sort of errors did you think you made? If it is a few spelling or grammatical errors, I would not bother because you will likely be fine. I made a couple of those in my college applications and still got into college
Most of the schools were off for the holidays. There is probably a huge backlog of students who had questions over the holidays. Give them several weeks to get caught up and, go get some sleep.
I made some awful errors: Instead of “Project” I wrote “Pjoect”. And instead of Sep 2013-March 2015. I wrote March 2014. I don’t know how I managed to do that. Will this negatively impact my application?

Spelling mistakes are natural and the date thing they will likely barely notice since they have no idea when you actually completed the project. If you feel like it matters to you and that the specific date you did it is important, then I would email them about that, but considering you already have then I would just let it be and let them get back to you. Otherwise it is not going to make a huge impact on your application
