Okay, so the top schools I got into are...

Northwestern U
Georgetown U
U of Notre Dame
UC Berkeley

Help me choose among these fine institutions of higher education. Pick your ONE favorite and explain why that school is the best. I'm interested in a pre-med or pre-business focus.

Thanks guys. You are the best and brightest.

Pre-Med, go for the one where you can get the highest GPA. this is a major factor in getting into med school.

Pre-business, i'd say Berkeley Haas

Major question- do you live in California?

Yes. I live in Los Angeles.

northwestern hands down. my brother just graduated from there last year and from personal experience, the campus is absolutely beautiful as is the social/party life in evanston. as for my brother, he did exceptionally well and Northwestern prepared him for the real world. he was planning on getting his MBA after college but didn't need to, he ended up getting a job at Google in san francisco, and if it weren't for NU, he wouldn't be there.

Notre Dame all the way. Sure I'm biased because I am most likely headed there, but have you ever talked to an alum who did not absolutely love their college experience? I know I haven't and that's an experience I want to be a part of for sure.

if you live in california and dont really have a favorite amongst these schools, for gods sake go to berkeley. 1. cost 2. distance. it just makes sense.

agree with inspiration.

cost is not a factor, and i want to get the best undergrad experience possible.

Threads about choosing a college after being admitted belong in the College Search & Selection forum, not in the College Admissions Forum, naturally. Good luck at finding advice for making a suitable decision.

Notre Dame, hands down. If you're looking for the "best undergraduate experience possible," it's hard to beat the school spirit and enthusiasm at Notre Dame (and with a father, grandfather, and great-uncle as alums, I'm down there on a regular basis and can speak first-hand to this).

Additionally, their undergrad business school is top notch- ranked 3rd in the country, last I heard (I have a very good friend headed there next fall, in fact). With ND's phenomenal alumni networking and loyalty, too, it's relatively easy to find great internships and be recruited out of college. A lot of companies who have ND roots will particularly target ND grads to hire.

And for pre-med, I know of quite a few current seniors at ND (via high school connections) who are headed to med school next year and all of them seem to have had quite a bit of success with getting in wherever they please.

Hope this helps!

Tough call. I'll go Northwestern but you can't really go wrong. If you want sports, I'd switch to ND.

bump. thanks for the help guys! keep it coming please!

if you're asian go to berkeley :D jkjk...no but seriously, consider!!

Otherwise, Northwestern cuz its ballin

I'd go to Notre Dame. Beautiful, great sports, just the right size, cohesive and loyal student body.
