I chose both - economics as a major, because I had a passing interest in the subject and the major gave me more skills marketability/financial security, and then international relations, because that is my true passion. In reality, the two degrees complemented each other. I ended up with a pretty good job that intersects both economics and international relations- I would definitely consider myself lucky, but I also have a pretty good knack for finding jobs (and have worked pretty hard for it, If I can say so myself).
