<p>currently a junior in China:
SAT1 - 2320 ; Math -800; CR- 740; Writing - 780
SAT2 - MATH2 - 800; Physcis - 800; Chem - 790
GPA : my current school in Beijing does not do GPA, but i am top 5% of my class.
while i was an exchange student in D.C. for a year, i got 3.96 (UW). it was one of the most prestigious private schools in America.
plus i took AP chem and got 5 on the test during the year. (too bad that we don't have access to APs here in China. )</p>
<p>I was selected by an exchange program in China. the program was trying to select future leaders who can promote cultural exchange and understanding between vastly different countries. it offers scholarships to the best private schools in the states. and i was living with three host families in a foreign country at age 16.
i wrote about my "foreign adventures" on a blog, which is popular among several schools in Beijing.</p>
<p>-elected class president. </p>
<p>-chief editor of yearbook. </p>
<p>-an avid writer and have won national awards for writing. </p>
<p>-chief editor of a school newspaper and a popular school magazine. </p>
<p>-in young writers' organization (a nationwide organization for gifted writers) for two years and was recently elected president. </p>
<p>and i am doing an engineering project over the summer, and i am going to teach at a middle school in a rural part of china. </p>
<p>i am applying to SEAS and not applying for FA</p>
