Yay for not studying lol. I still need to finish Heart of Darkness for my AP English class. I fell asleep earlier when I tried to read it; it's still lying next to my pillow lol. I probably shouldn't read that book in bed but...meh.

@Weirdhobo: AP Lit, AP Gov, AP Econ, AP Stats

i have 3.

AP Lit, AP ES, and AP Studio Art

Wide load for all woot! but seriously it sucks :\ I'm really starting to hate Economics.

lol why Heart of Darkness?

ap lit, ap span, ap gov, and ap env sci.

speaking of fm...does anyone know where i can find listings of radio stations in davis?

Studio Art? That's cool. o: My school has a pretty small AP selection compared to other schools in my county. =/ It's ironic though, 'cause there's a high demand for AP classes.

Oh, I just realized ES = environmental science. I took it last year. :] We call it APES at my school.

And apparently, Heart of Darkness is referred to a lot in English lit and it's supposed to be really versatile for essays but...it's really dense and boring and it's my second least favorite book of all time (Teaching a Stone to Talk being my first. I think the title is self-explanatory). But yeah, that's my English teacher's reasoning. It's ridiculous though, she wants us to reread the book because she assumed no one did the reading the first time she assigned it and I read it the first time. x_x

i better get a 5 in Studio Art XD.

I spend more time on my portfollio then any of my AP classes combined.

Ha..

Edible: it's usually the fact that there is a lack of teachers who want to do AP. For instance, my school has no AP Chem or AP ES because our science department is BS and while there is a chem teacher most likely qualified to teach AP Chem, she's lazy as far as I can tell. ES as well. Funny, because Troy High School is close to my school, and they are top 30 or so in the nation with amazing science :

Frankenstein is horrible imo :\ but it clears up the huge misconception that the monster is called Frankenstein xD

oh gosh. edibleegg, i hope you are able to get through heart of darkness.

i finished that book early this month in my lit class. i hated it so much! now we are reading frankenstein much better than hod.

What's your major cfsaetern?

you all seem to have fast computers!

that or maybe you guys refresh the page often. =]

I'm going to do:

Animal Sci - Major
Studio Art + Art History - Double minor

or

Bio + Studio art - Double major
Art History - Minor

I hate the fact that 225 units is the max for Davis.

I can't double major Studio art and Animal Science!

Woooo~ Davis has a Classical music radio station! so happy

Geez that's a huge amount of work lol

UC Davis has a world class landscape architecture program that you might like too. Just to possibly make deciding even harder. :p

So I'm not the only one who thinks they reply fast lol. ;)

I finished HOD months ago when my teacher first assigned it. x_x Yeah it kills me. She's making us collect/analyze quotes to make sure we read it.

@Weirdhobo: Budget is our problem. We have qualified teachers, but currently, our science dept. is lacking too because teachers are paying out of pocket for lab equipment. AP Bio and APES are both on the brink of being terminated, which would leave AP Physics as our only science AP.

And my school is home of record-breaking Aca-Deca champs. ;)

I want to become a Vet hence Animal Sci.

I also have a passion for Art. That's why i want to double major.

Animal sci is 180 units alone.

I find it quite ridiculous. You can Triple major in Art Studio, Art History, and another and it'll be just as much units as Animal Sci.

-_- Dillemas

ooo nice~ not so nice about the budget thing though. As for labs, you could easily just require lab fees from students. We actually charge 15 dollars for each science class taken (which is why we were able to dissect cats in physiology in my junior year)

Weirdhobo KDVS is great and plays a really diverse mix of music.

Being a vet is a great career.

cfs: It's going to be a long ride for our Pre-vets lol.

Does KDVS take requests?
