<p>Well in context I guess it made more sense. It was in response to you saying you were going to bed. So I said C'est la vie, I'm better than you.</p>
<p>I always read it as 'It's Life' without the THE. I don't know if that's the right way to read it but that's how I read it. Regardless "C'est la vie" is like a cliche phrase and I didn't want to break it down and just put "C'est vie" so I kept it in it's cliched greatness.</p>
