In need of advice and help

Hello all, I am currently a sophomore at Saint Xavier University in Chicago majoring in Communication and Political Science, I am looking to transfer after completion of my sophomore year(entering fall of 2018) and my two dream schools are Cornell and Notre Dame. I did not apply to either in high school due to the fact that I felt I was not a good applicant, but want to try now.

If I do not have a realistic shot at these schools, please let me know what other universities would be a good fit. Thank you and I will chance back

i dont believe they will look at the high school stats for transfer students, so dont let them get you down

Do you think I’ve got a good chance at either??

@happybird123 Do you think I’ve got a good chance at either??

definitely

Strictly speaking, no one has 'a good chance ’ there because they’re so competitive, but you have a shot, yes.
If you like Catholic universities, you could try Holy Cross and Georgetown too.
In terms of ‘big deal academically and athletically’, Northwestern is just across town and is worth a try, too.
A tad easier to get into yet better than your current university, look at St Olaf (not Catholic but there are lots of Catholics there), Rhodes, Denison.

@MYOS1634 thank you so much. would you say I have a better chance at ND or Cornell?

I’d say your odds are about equal. Perhaps a nod to ND due to your attending a Catholic college already.

@MYOS1634 thank you so much, I just hope I have more than a 50/50 shot…
