I really need a suggestion for an elite boarding school as at my current private school i feel strangled of opportunity! I live in South-Africa and am quite eager to leave here ASAP!
So it doesnt matter the geographical position nor the price, I just need a boarding school with academic excellence and exclusivity in their students.
This might sound strange, but all of the above added with rebelious children who still mantain their class meanwhile sneaking mint shnapps into their hot chocolate.
I still want to be able to have fun :)
My grades are commendable, I am a national SACCEE debater, I sing and can play tennis and speak English, French and Hebrew.
Also was wandering if I would be accepted into Le Rosey?
Answers would really be appreciated!

Le Rosey is the most expensive boarding school in the world-I think around $100,000. think of how much good you could do with that money to the less fortunate people in SOUTH AFRICA. Heck think of how much you could do for a year with that money for yourself. Could probably get a porsche with that money. Also its not going to help you when you are applying to college anyways.

Regardless if your parents are wealthy, then you should have no difficulty getting le rosey.

Also consider
UK: Eton, winchester, westminister, harrow, charterhouse, malvern college (if you are a guy) cheltenham (if you are a girl)
Scotland: Gordonstoun, fettes
US: exeter, andover, choate, tafts, deerfield, st pauls e.t.c

Or alternatively you could just wire all the money u are spending and send it to my bank account. Also you can hang out with ppl just like you here:

The “mint schnapps” are not going to be a good plan at any of the American boarding schools. I can’t imagine that European boarding school administrators are really all that lenient, either.
This sounds like a confusion of a school choice with a vacation choice.

Yeah I think the OP has been reading too muuch Enid blyton stories.

exeter, andover, choate, tafts, deerfield, northfield mount hermon are your typically mentioned elite boarding schools. These are the elite high schools in the country, but they cost as much as an ivy league college.

seems like OP is rather sensible to me. The people I know living in Los Angeles who left South Africa over the past 30 years have not regretted their decision in the least… of course their paper money was worthless, but they rebuilt their lives in this land of opporunity.

If OP wants to live in the UK or the USA to finish school, more power to OP.

^ yeah well le rosey is in switzerland, and its an overpriced boarding school with butlers and superficial stuff like that. You can go to a better boarding school in the US for way less, like close to a third of the price.

He/she could get better quality for less . . .
