I'm from Asia and now finishing my second year in highschool. My unweighted GPA (after converting to the US GPA) for the most recent semesters ranges from 3.8-3.9, about 93-94.3% in my country's grading system, which ranks me in the top 5% of my class. My school is a highschool for gifted students in the country, so the courses might be challenging, and students' GPAs could be quite competitive. I first took the SAT in Jan. 2014 and got a 2110, now I'm planning to take SAT II in June and re-take the SAT I in Oct. to reach my goal of 2200+. I also got some academic awards in Maths, Literature and English.

For the extracurricular activities, I'm worrying if I could meet my dream schools' standards (though I know there might be no particular standards at all). I've been involved in 2 clubs since my first highschool year, the first one is a book club for which I organized a well-known book-exchanging event for students in the city, and the second one is the school's newspaper administration, in which I'm a journalist and editor, and I'm gonna stick with them till graduation, so these could be considered long term commitments, right? I'm also the Class President at the moment. I do play some sports like badminton and swimming, I can also play 3 different musical instruments, but I'm not an expert and haven't got any outstanding achievements in those (just for personal enjoyment only).
In social activities, I did some voluntary and charity works in my free time. This summer I'm going to take part in several international programs of FedEx/JA and ASEAN, as well as giving free English lessons to orphans in my city's SOS Children's Village.

Another crucial factor contributing to my choice is the amount of financial aid that a college could offer. My maximum family contribution can only reach about $15,000-20,000 per year. I would like to have a campus setting in the urban or suburban area. My major still remains undecided. Guess I'm interested in Social Sciences or International Relations, but I can also perform rather well in science subjects at school, such as Maths, Physics or Biology, so I'm thinking of majoring in engineering, too.

I wonder if applying to Colgate U for ED I and Wesleyan U for ED II with a background like this could be possible. What are the chances for admission that I may have? Will I be able to get into one of the top 50 or 100 colleges in the US (I'm researching mostly on usnews.com)? And I would love to have some advice or college suggestions from you guys. Thanks in advance :)
