Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum and don't quite know if I can expect any answer to such a thread.
I am a student at Universit

Since international affairs/politics interests you, the best thing is to look at grad school programs in Washington, DC or Ottawa. Washington has a nice number of universities, all with good-to-strong IR programs and many connections to the IR community. Besides Georgetown, there is GWU, American U., U. Maryland, Catholic U. The Ellicott School of International Affairs at GWU is the one I have experience with and I felt they provided me a good education. Ultimately, I did not go into the IR field but felt GWU was a good experience nonetheless. Bon chance!

Hey, thanks for the quick reply.
Is it completely absurd for someone with no IR experience to contemplate international affairs degrees Should I consider taking a year off? Has anyone been in that situation?
Also, is the location of the university you attend a determining factor for the location of your career? For instance, if you go to LSE or Sciences po, are you confined to Europe?
Thank you.
