Hello I would like a little bit of help. I was recently suspended from receiving financial aid because my overall completion rate dropped below a 70% (it is at 68%). I was told that I can appeal it with a sap letter however I'm not exactly sure on how to write one. Also looking over what I need in it. It states to give reasons as to why it has dropped due to death in the family, illness, ect. I was wondering if I need to have something like this in order to make an appeal. I was recently diagnosed with depression mid way through the semester. I was also having second thoughts on my major and became unmotivated to keep working at the classes that most likely wouldn't count towards a different major (I am originally a music major), causing me to fail one class and dropping another. I decided that I would take mostly gen eds until I decided what I finally wanted to do; however my family doesn't have enough founds to pay for my college, and FA is the main way of paying for it. Thank you for the help.

For anyone that was going to reply. I happened to look over my classes and couldn’t come up with how I wasn’t above the 70% mark for my completion rate (every time I did the math I was always above). So I gave a call and it seems the system wasn’t counting some of my classes for some reason, and I am above the marks I need. So for anyone that was going to post sorry about wasting your time reading this

I’m glad it worked out, navisay07.
