So I am in a new club. However their are always “dinners” and stuff. I am on a restrictive diet and cannot eat certain foods. Especially fast foods.
What do I do?
thanks

Why would you not be able to choose your own food?
Bring your own food. If they go to fast food for a meeting place, get a salad or grilled chicken.
LOTS and lots of people are on restrictive diets these days, because of allergies, weight issues, health issues or religious issues.
Go along for the company. Explain that you can’t have McD’s for health reasons, and order a soda or bottle of water. You can enjoy the company without worrying about dietary issues.
Good advice above. Carry snacks on these occasions and just order a drink. Even fast food places will have plain water. You don’t need to explain, but if someone asks, just say your doctor has prescribed a special diet. No one will question a doctor.
Most places have something. Even fast food restaurants have health options, sometimes hidden on the children’s menu, such as apple slices or a small orange. I agree - don’t let your food restrictions keep you from your club. Make it work for you some how.
@Lindagaf best answer how do I rep?
First, what kind of restrictive diet are you on, because I can maybe help you figure out ways to work with it. Second I have always had bad food anxiety so I bring my own food everywhere. That includes going out to eat. If I am hungry I pick a safe food to order or a food I brought. If not I just say I just ate or I am not hungry and nobody really cares. Definitely do get water or something, if you do it multiple times because otherwise, people may not wish to invite you later.
