In state chances!

<p>If i dont get into duke ED, UNC-CH is my 2nd option, since i am in state. how do my chances look? i would really appreciate some feedback because i havent gotten much in the past.</p>

<p>i have a 4.0 uw GPA (my school is public, semi-competitive)
my rank: 2/480
sat: 770, 800 CR, 760 writing total: 2330 superscore
sat subject tests: 760 Biology, i'm taking the other in november </p>

<p>awards/honors:
-i was a semifinalist for a science competition (pretty prestigious, nothing like intel/siemens though)
-publication in a journal (medical related)
-ap scholar with distinction</p>

<p>ecs:
-martial arts (4 yrs), instructor
-dance (3 yrs), instructor
-a lot of hospital volunteering
-key club--i have had a couple of leadership positions
-i have had 2 internships, all medicine related (research for one of them)
-i tutor kids in a foreign language and i'm an instructor for that as well
and some other stuff</p>

<p>teacher reccs should be good, my additional will be from the editor of the journal i wrote for. my essays i hope will be good..still working on them</p>

<p>i think you have a great chance, especially instate! i would be very surprised if you were not accepted to Duke though.</p>

<p>thank you! oh and i forgot to mention i took the math 2 subject tests in nov and got a 770. its hard to think about other schools though, while waiting for my duke decision!</p>

UNC is almost a shoe in for you</p>

<p>I would say UNC is a shoe in for you. And I would be very suprised if you did not get in Duke (especially considering you did Early Decision).</p>

<p>10000% chances at UNC. I’d be shocked if Duke rejected you as well.</p>
