bump, bump

probably a match/slight reach only bc you're in-state. ACT score is low, GPA is below avg., but ECs are very solid. Try to get a 27 or so on the ACT, then you should be a match. good luck!

bump, anyone else please?

I agree with vc08. FYI, UW only looks at your unweighted GPA, so you'll want to pull your GPA up a bit. The average GPA of the incoming 2011 freshman class was a 3.6 to 3.7. If you can, try to improve on the ACT. You have a chance of getting in, but at this point, you're sitting on the fence I think.

if i were to apply Dec 1 to UW, would they factor in my senior grades?

i'm not sure, you should call the university and ask. you can always have your counselor make a note about your rising grade trend during senior year, etc.

For in-state, you are obviously in. A B+/A- average with a rigorous course load, good ec's and sports. Like almost everyone in WA who had a decent hs career, UW should be your safety

I'd say you're fine for in-state. I applied by the Dec 1st deadline and was accepted before my 1st semester of school had even ended, so I don't think they consider senior grades in that case. I'm not sure about the later deadline.

i am pretty sure that UW doesnt use teacher recs.

i think you have a good chance, though. i would call it a match.

lol, you took some real easy AP classes, but it doesn't really matter.

what's your SAT? that's the biggest factor, ACT is a bit low, GPA is probably ok, UW is pretty easy to get into, if you get over 1200 (the new one maybe 1800) you are pretty much in with your EC

wow they only look at uw thats total bs

yeah, they only look at unweighted grades.

I'm trying to guess... you probably go to Bellevue. I would guess Skyline, but they are IB, not AP, I think. Am I right? Or totally off?

newport !!!!

Aw. I was close!
