<p>Whether or not you live in California or not, the tuition at Cal is the same for everyone right? Or at least everyone that lives on campus.</p>
<p>Nah, one has to pay like 22K extra if one’s OOS, and also OOS finaid is terrible if one needs it.</p>

<p>When i visited the tuition page, the difference between the two fees were “resident” and “non-resident”.</p>
<p>I thought that what they meant by non-resident were people that choose not to stay in the dorms. Not people that were OOS</p>

<p>I’m going to be nice and assume you are misunderstanding. One must have lived in the state of California for at least a year, with proof of legitimate documentations, in order to not be affected by the extra OOS fees. I’m not sure where you got the housing mixed in with being a resident of California. </p>

<p>@fl0wer- Yeah, it was a little mindless of me to think so. I mixed up the two fees and I thought the lesser of the two was for nonresidents. </p>
<p>I’ve lived in Cali for over a decade now, i’m not OOS.</p>
