so right now im a Junior and I currently live and go to school in NJ. My parents have owned a house down in florida for almost 3 years already. Anyways. they are both retired (60s) and they want to move down to florida. The weather in nj is too cold for them plus they want to spend more time down there. I wouldn't mind moving down there with them because the area we live in is great. the problem is that the town we live in is really wealth. therefor the only high school is a private hs and my parents dont want to pay $15,000+ tuition for my senior year. There are no public schools in that town but the public schools in the area are ok. Right now Im attending a really good public school in nj. It has the IB program which I really like. The public schools in the area down in florida are average. nothing special. and they do not have the IB program. the only school in the area that has the IB program is that private school. So my parents have agreed that I would stay up in NJ with my brother (he is 32) and keep the same school while they move down to florida for the majority of the time.
Cool thing is that University of Florida is one of my top choices and i would LOVE to go there. Now that my parents are moving down to florida and declaring residency (changing ID, drivers license, etc) I would be eligible for in-state tuition. but i was wondering..
since im attending a NJ high school but my parents would be paying in state tuition. would i be applying as an instate student or out of state?

also. do you think i could get accepted?
My current GPA is an UW 3.5/4.3 (not very high I know. its equivalent to B+ - so close to an A- tho!!) and not sure about weighted
Ive taken all honors/advanced classes 9/10th grade they were the only classes they allowed you to take) and now Im in the IB program
I just got my PSAT scores back and my predicted SAT score is an 1800. *I got that with out any studying or preparation so I know that for my march SAT exam I can score much higher aiming for above 2200, 2300 - 2400 is my goal
