My son received an email to check the status of his in-state privileges, and saw that he was declared "ineligible", even though he has never lived outside of the state! Did anyone else have an error on their determination? He emailed back but has not heard as yet. And there is no indication that they have received his recommendations/transcript/etc. :(

Have you tried calling the Committee on Virginia Status? The University of Virginia website says you should direct inquiries about in state privileges to them. 434-982-3391. Good luck.

Look at his UVa supplement on the common application and review the instate residency section to see if something was not checked off correctly. Sometimes missing just one of those boxes can throw off the status.

Also, UVa only indicates in the To Do box what they need, not what they have received.
