<p>Is the purpose of the in-state receptions for admitted students simply to welcome the new admits? Or will I be able to get actual information by attending one of these receptions?</p>
<p>I know there's Cal Day, but I've already taken a tour of the campus before and it would be expensive to book something so close to Cal Day.</p>
