Why is my son getting lots of Scholarships from OOS schools but in-state UGA has offered nothing.We will have to go where the money is, come on UGA!!!
Isn’t there a Hope and Zell Miller scholarship for Georgia high school graduates?
Same here troutmaster. Daughters stats are as high (or higher) than some I see listed on CC. Not sure what is going on. Has your DS applied to Bama? My DS is a sophmore there on the Presidential and Engineering scholarships and absolutely LOVES it. DD is not interested in joining her brother. Disappointing as she will be a NMF and UA would have paid her to attend.
Not all the scholarships have been offered. They will continue to be rolled out. Even though OOS schools offer big scholarships it is going to be hard to beat the cost of Instate tuition and the Zell at UGA.
My son is in the same boat. Top 5% in class, 4.2 GPA, Great test scores, lots of AP/DE’s and extra curriculars, NHRP Scholar… yet no scholarship from UGA

Do the Hope and Zell cover the fees as well? We recently moved to GA and I am still learning about them. When we left GA several years ago, there was just the Hope. At UA we pay for our son’s rent and groceries. All tuition, fees and books are paid for with the 2 scholarships.
