I know that 65% have to be from in state but does that really give any advantage? I really just want to stay in state, but my lsats are not looking so hot in the practice exams and my gpa is a 3.35ish. Any opinions if i should be seeking a new career? (i really would not mind UH law as i am applying there and UT Austin early for sure)

Oh and i am taking the LSATs this saturday so i should be ok for the early deadline

You know, despite the impression you get hanging out around here there are law schools you can go to with a B+ UGPA. I don't know how bad your practice exams look (some people are upset with their 170, others are happy with their 150), but you can probably take a shot at Texas Tech as well. Have you considered looking at the private schools in Texas too?
