YES, @Joyfulmama!!! As of Fall '15. I believe it is for all BFA’s. So BFA Acting included.
And I think music majors may also get the break. The music program there is also excellent; many of my daughter’s friends are music majors, and the music department is well integrated with the MT program. Seems the school, which already has a very good reputation in the performing arts locally, is working toward a more national standing.

Yes, BFA Musical Theater, and I believe, Acting, are being offered instate tuition starting this year. I’m not sure about the other performance BFAs (Dance and Vocal Performance, etc) though. Maybe someone from those majors know?

Yes I was there this past week on a tour and it’s true! Good for us NON NJ residents!
Parents of any current Montclair State BFM MT students–we’re visiting campus Sunday for an Open House–any chance of us meeting up to chat with a current student for a few minutes?! D is also interested in their Music Therapy program, so if anyone knows a Music Therapy student, that would be super as well! And I had forgotten about the in-state tuition rates–YAY!
