i have lived in blacksburg viriginia, Virginia Tech for 7 years and finally last year, before my sophmore year i moved to NY. my dad was a assistant professor at tech. i was wondering that in one more year when i apply, if i apply for VaTech, could it be possible that i still qualify for in-state tuition. i don't think that's possible but just wondering.

Do you still have Virginia residence? If so, you could qualify for in-state tuition. However, if you don't, even despite your past in Virginia, it is very, very hard to get residency. At least it's really hard to get residency in California for of the UCs.

No, you don't, because to qualify for instate you need to prove that your residence, or the residence of who you're dependent on will remain in Virginia for at least a year.
I know, because I checked, and I'm living in Blacksburg and won't qualify for instate in either UVA or VT.

By the way, it trust it would have been MUCH easier to get into VT if you stayed in Blacksburg, especially with BHS' onsite application.

yeah i remember people telling me about the BHS onsite app. and about 80% of the of people who applied there from bhs got in and that's usually 50-60% of the graduating class. Vatech is such a good engineering school, now i wished that i would have stayed there cause all the NY in-state sucks...other than binghamton
