<p>My parents have an informal separation, and living in two different states. However, they file a joint-tax return & declare me as a dependent. I live with my mother in New York full-time, but my father lives in Florida. He has lived in Florida for several years & can prove his residency. Can I apply for in-state tuition in Florida, since he is a legal Florida resident & I am a dependent?</p>
