In-State versus OOS

If you have to ask, then you shouldn't be concerned. I can't say any more than that. :)

hahaha...I don't think you would discuss something like that on these forums...it would kind of ruin the secret...

Sounds interesting though...I didn't know about these secret socities until they were mentioned here...

If you go to the admissions website it does state that out of state students with a legacy are treated as in state for admission purposes. Sorry, not for tuition. But I don't think siblings count, parents for sure and most likely grandparents. More info: I just checked the website. Under FAQ's for international applicants it states that it works for parent or step parent. On the application you will indicate where your parents attended college. That is the only place to officially document. I called the admissions office making sure of that and the person indicated that they look carefully at that portion. Of course, they will check their own records to confirm. Our student was not an international applicant just OOS.

do siblings count as Alumni Relation?

thrills, I'm under the impression that siblings do not count.

does parents attending UVa's graduate school count as legacy in the undergraduate program? I think it said if parents hold a degree from UVa but didnt specify undergrad or grad

It doesn't matter. If one of your parents attended any of UVA's schools either as a grad student or an undergrad, you're considered a legacy.

Yes, if your parent received a UVA grad degree, you will be considered instate for admissions purposes.

man, i hope it will look somewhat good that my sisters went there!
