In-state vs. Out-of-State Tuition

Hi, I’m currently a freshmen in college in Indiana and paying out-of-state tuition. My dad is paying for my tuition but it’s really expensive. I am from Texas, and I have lived there for over 10 years. Currently, my parents don’t live there anymore. They are living out of country. I think I changed my “Home” address to our family friends in Texas. So if I were to transfer to Texas, will I get in-state tuition?

I don’t know the rules in TX but if you graduated from high school in Texas, you may.

Did u graduate from a texas HS? Are your parents only temporarily out of the US? You should try to petition for in-state rates. Sometimes, expat families fall in a grey area.

No guarantee you’ll get it. But hey, the worst they can say is NO.

I did graduate high school from Texas. And no, my parents have moved out of country.

.

Did your parents live in Texas before moving overseas?
