In-state vs. Out-of-State

Hello there! This is my first post on College Confidential.
I'm pretty excited :D

Anyway, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.

I'm an incoming senior at a Hawaii high school looking to attend CUNY-Baruch.
I was wondering if it makes a difference whether you're in-state or not. (If it increases/decreases/no effect on chances at admissions, etc.)
Thanks in advanced.

Hello Raenaa, and welcome to CC!

I'm afraid I have no information about CUNY-Baruch, I just didn't want your first post to go unanswered.

You might try re-posting it with a title that mentions CUNY-Baruch specifically. Good luck!

Since CUNY is a state school, yes, it makes a difference. 70% of students in its seven colleges attended a NYC high school.

Also remember that there is no housing for CUNY schools. And NY is a very expensive place to live on your own.

Good luck to you, though!

Thank you both for responding. :)

smile dog: I'll follow your advice and post another thead with a specific title.
