In tears over AP Chem exam

I’m frustrated beyond my limits. Tears are streaming from my eyes and I’m continually breaking things and throwing them across the room. I’ve been taking practice tests and I’ve gotten a 4 on one, but it seems like the one I’m taking right now will end up being a 2 or a low 3 which is so frustrating because I’ve been doing one of those AP books which doesn’t seem to help in the slightest. Does anyone have any quick suggestions for studying that I could do before tomorrow?

Stop worrying so much. If you don’t do well you don’t have to send it to colleges. It is not the end of the world so just stop fretting and relax some.

Don’t be an electron. Besides, many colleges don’t even consider AP scores in admissions.

@Erikstotle I know it doesn’t affect admission, but it helps pay for college credits, and it’s kind of a satisfying thing to get a good score on an exam in a really hard class.

@lostaccount I got a 2 in APUSH last year and probably gonna get a 2 on Calc AB, so passing 0/3 AP tests doesn’t look very good.

@Keggin I’ll link you to my AP Chem teacher’s website. Most of us got 4s or 5s last year (I got a 5). PM me.

@Keggin Calc has a really high passing rate and I know someone who thought she failed (didn’t finish the test on time) who got a 5 last year. If you do some practice for it after chem, you should be able to raise it to a passing score. As for Chem, I’d suggest you focus on Zeff and intramolecular attractions and really getting a good handle on those and their implications tonight. They’re very, very important to understanding everything else, and if you have a decent understanding of them, you should be able to pass the test. You can make educated guesses based on them. Go over your practice tests and figure out what kinds of questions you’re getting wrong, and go from there.
