In technology, Goldman Sachs vs. Salesforce.com

I need to make a decision between the two companies. While I realize that many people would immediately discount GS on the basis that it's an investment bank and technology is not the driving force behind its business, it is a top contender for me after 10 interviews with them, each one surprising and impressing me more then the last. Technology is actually taken VERY seriously at GS and the group I'm going to be working with is doing some very interesting and sophisticated technical work that is literally analyzing billions of dollars worth of trading information every single day. The nature of the work, the absolutely fantastic and brilliant people I met during my interviews and the rare opportunity to spend a summer in New York have all helped propel GS to the very top of my list.

Salesforce.com, on the other hand, is also a top contender because of the sophisticated nature of its work with cloud computing. The sheer scale and complexity of working with the cloud computing platform is simply fascinating, and the people I met in the interviews were also absolutely top-notch. The downside is the fact that I will not be working with the platform group but the applications group, and I'm not sure how much exposure I will actually get to the core technology.

Internship pay between the two are minutely different, but pay with Salesforce as a full-timer in the future will be quite a bit higher than GS. Salesforce though, will always remain here in California while it's not an everyday thing to have an opportunity to experience working in New York.

It's quite a dilemma. Any suggestions/opinions/tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
