Do they fly the Mexican flag along with the American flag?

A lot of places around here fly the American and the Canadian flag.

Do they fly the Mexican flag along with the American flag?

A lot of places around here fly the American and the Canadian flag.

Down in South Carolina, we have the Confederate flag hanging everywhere.

Well, down where I used to live (Miami, Florida) the Cuban flag is very popular.

I see some confederate flags on the bumpers of cars and trucks...other than that, it's just the american flag.

do the people with the confederate flags believe in confederate values

Some do.

(10 char.)

Icer, I asked some people why they had the flag and their answer was Southern pride...

Of course some people fly it for entirely different reasons...

Yes, like the Ku Klux Klan.

To me, Southern Pride is somewhat difficult to understand...

I'm not so sure I would go to college in the south

That's kinda scary.

I've said before that I'd kind of like a Confederate Flag, but that's just because I was Lee for the 7th grade Civil War reenactment. Plus the flag looks cool. I'd like all of these flags though: Canada, Confederate, Sweden, Norway, Finland.

Well, there are KKK chapters all over the US...hence idiots in every area of the US.

Yes, you shouldn't let that stop you. I used to live in the south and I am a part of an ethnic group the KKK isn't too fond of, and I never had a problem with them.

I couldn't live in the south, but that's because I'm heat intolerant.

I love the weather down there!

I'm going to Texas. I'm not scared of anybody. I would go to a KKK guy's front door and say what up. I just want to go to school on the west coast or northeast

I don't think the KKK would bother me. Hitler loves me.

Texas is so odd; I can't wait to leave. Have yet to see a confederate flag (maybe I simply haven't been paying attention) but I've seen plenty of Mexican flags, and people who have Texas flags in their yards and stuff like it's still a separate country. And we have a "Texas pledge" in school. The dumb is mind-boggling.

You all are so ignorant. I live in the South, y'all. People fly their Confederate flags in order to take pride in their southern heritage. Many people in the south had ancestors who fought in the Civil War and are proud of their heritage. Good Lord. The flag is NOT a symbol of slavery and oppression. The civil war was not fought over slavery, as your public schools imply. Get your facts straight and Git r' done!

I live in the South...so as for being ignorant of what the flag stands for....

Also no one said the civil war was fought over slavery...where are you getting that from?

The controversy over the confederate flag is that it symbolizes different things for different people...you may take the flag as a symbol for pride, but I see it as something else. As for heritage...that tickles me. Still, people are free to choose what they believe.

The conversation was going fine til your rebel pride was bruised. You seem 'bout as mad as a hornet on hot day. Why don't cha go drink some lemonade or iced tea...lol.
