So I just started the undergrad business program at UWB. But I've been thinking about applying to the Foster program for winter or spring quarter. what do you guys think I should do?

Should I complete my undergrad program at UWB or try and transfer to finish my undergrad at the Seattle campus?

UWB has business secondary accreditation through AACSB but not accounting. However, that only matters if you plan on practicing as a CPA in New Mexico, Alabama or New York State.

I remember at my orientation last summer, the advisor was explaining that UWB just became an an accreditation school. And she said accounting was the only formal concentration that they offer, meaning it’ll show up on my transcript as opposed to another concentration not showing on my transcript since it’s not formal.

They list UW Bothell among their secondary business accredited institutions, along with UW Tacoma and UW Seattle (Foster). But they do not list them on the accounting list. Meaning if you wanted to practice in the 3 states that care, that you would need a MAcc.

I apologize for the confusion, I’m trying to multi task with this while working. So it’s free to apply for admission at the foster business school at UW? But not free for general admission? Is that what you’re trying to say?

Well, you see, you have to apply both to Foster and the University itself. They have separate applications that you have to fill out. Foster’s is free for everyone, but you also have to apply to the University (and as you know they charge application fees).

If you go to UW - Bothell and you want to go to UW - Seattle, you will need to apply to get into UW - Seattle as a transfer student. If you want to major in business you will ALSO need to apply to Foster

As everyone else has said, you’ll need to apply to UW Seattle AND the Business major, so there’s two hoops to jump through. Transferring to UW Seattle from a four year university is difficult, as most of their transfer admits are from community colleges. If coming from a satellite campus gives you an edge, they haven’t shown any indications that this is the case.
