In theory, how would American Law schools react to an LLB?

Going international to earn my LLB is an idea that I’ve had, but haven’t seriously considered it, because I’d really want to live and work near my family. But if I were to earn one, how would American law schools react? How adversely does it effect your chances of acceptance? Or is there another process entirely for people with an LLB?

In most cases, a graduate of a foreign school that grants the LLB degree applies to an LLM program at a US law school in order to qualify for a State bar exam.

The best sources of information for you would be the bar examiners in the state you want to practice in, and your state flagship law school.

@PFAnimals Are you talking about foregoing an undergrad to do a foreign LLb? Or doing it after a traditional undergrad degree? I’m not sure why anyone would go to the UK or Australia, e.g., to do a three year LLb then want to return to go to a North American law school for a JD. You will be studying much of the same material.
