in to NHS

So I just found out today that I got in to my school's chapter of NHS. I'm a senior. I didn't have the chance to apply last year because my GPA was .03 off the cutoff (I had a huge improvement in my grades last year). I applied ED to a school I'm supposed to hear back from by the 15th.
Would the college want to hear about it? I sent the application before I found out I was being considered, so I didn't mention anything about it. Does it make a difference anyway? I obviously haven't done any service through NHS yet, but it is an honor.
Is it too late?

NHS is as common as being on the honor roll. It won't matter a smidgen to your ED chances. Best of luck to you nonetheless.

Why'd you begin your sentence with "So..."?

I would try to include it in your other applications. It is still an accolade that not everyone has. Sure, lot's of kids can get it, but lot's don't. I would include it in your regular appls. Congratulations! It's a nice honor to have earned.

Include it, but don't expect it to give you an edge.

Would it be questionable that I wasn't in it when I sent in my app? That is to say, will my application be seen as weak or bad if I wasn't in it?

i disagree that nhs is as common as honor roll, but i dont really think it would matter much in ur EA decisions. it probably wouldnt hurt to notify them cuz you never know if your app. just needed that one little thing to get you in. to be honest, my nhs barely does anything, it's more of an "i made it in" type of thing. but if your school is like mine it isnt easy to get in, so congratulations!

yea, put it in..it won't hurt.

Why'd you begin your sentence with "So..."?

Because it's the internet and no one cares how you type.
