I applied to 5 as well.
My order would be:
1)Cornell
2)Columbia
3)Princeton
4)Harvard
5)Yale (my #1)

Does anyone know if I have to go on the Cornell and columbia website to check my admissions results?

Does anyone know if I have to go on the Cornell and columbia website to check my admissions results?

i don't really care what order i open them in. i'll probably check ones i care about less first. And then Princeton, Harvard, and finally Yale.

In the order received.

If it's all at once, I'll go

Columbia (got a likely so no suspense here)

Princeton

Yale

Harvard

This is a silly question that has probably answered already:

Will Harvard display your admissions results in the subject of the emial (so that you know the result before opening the emial)?

I hope not, haha. I like the buildup of suspense, even if I am rejected. I just do not want to open my inbox, and, right away, see my rejection.

No, they don't put it in the subject line, it's something neutral like, "Your Admissions Decision". Gmail can spoil it, though.

I read somewhere that there's some introductory fluff so that Gmail can't spoil it. Dunno if that's true or not.

Interesting to know. I was wondering the same thing about the email subject.

I thought harvard only sends out email to accepted applicants

I'm so paranoid that I will be on CC asking CCers who got accepted how large their file was, and those who got rejected how large their file was.

and then check my email account.

Yeah. After some discussion with the boyfriend, I think I'm going to leave my top-choice for last:

1)Columbia
2)Brown
3)Harvard
4)Princeton
5)Yale

Poor guy. I don't want to be him when results come in. ):

Nope, all of 'em.

O:

10 char

Harvard
Yale
Penn

I guess when the decisions actually do come out, I'll be to nervous to wait and just check what loads first.

Out of curiosity, IndiaRubber, why don't you want to be your boyfriend when his results come in?

^ I don't want to be my boyfriend when my results come in. ;) He's in his last year of university... far past the app. stage o:

What is the subject line of e-mails for acceptance? Hopefully not congrats or something- that ruins the surprise- or gives your rejection away.

It just says "Admissions Decision."

Lol like that's not ominous.

It's like- "This email has the power to destroy or magnify your pride and life by ten fold"- all in two words.

This is what someone told me last year.

Subject Line: "Congratulations! Your Harvard Class of 2012 Decision is ready!"

Body: "You got rejected!"

lols at the

"Congratulations!..... You got rejected!" implication
