What do you think?
VdC, norte, CV, or AV?
Pros and Cons?

I'm just wondering.
Thanks!!!

My biggest grasps and gripes…

VDC Pro: Bigger single rooms for the money and big kitchen/common room = fun parties

Norte Pro: Big double rooms
Con: Small single rooms

AV Pro: Similar Interest

CV Con: Aesthetically unpleasing community

VDC for sure… I think VDC is generally cheaper than Norte unless you get the shared room at Norte. the rooms and beds are much smaller at Norte though. at Norte it’s also a lot easier for Duty to catch parties because of how the apartments are laid out (like hotels). also VDC and Norte just have nice community centers… [check out pictures here](http://www.vistadelcampo.com) If you can afford it, live in VDC.

CV is pretty bad from what I hear, but it’s the only one that’s like right on campus.
It’s probably easier to meet people in AV.

I’m not sure about pricing when comparing VDC/Norte to CV and AV though.

does anyone else have any other opinions??

In my opinion, you should follow where your friends are living…cant have fun with out them…Anyhow, I live in VDC, and my BIGGEST pet peeves is that that internet connection slows down frequently…and the showers run out of hot water real fast between 6-10pm. Otherwise its a nice place to live, close to the arc, however far from the markets and fast food.

haha norte doesnt have a hot water problem the internet used to suck so bad i wanted to tear my eyes out, but ever since they switched to COX it got way better. however i do miss the cinemax channels and national geographic… they removed it from our cable package :(

worst thing about vdc/vdc norte… if youre on AT&T… you’re screwed. you have to place your phone against the window to get a signal, and go outside to have an actual phone call. when i walk around norte, there are always phones against the window screens, and at least one person outside speaking loudly on their phone haha

Camino del Sol is opening and may just be the best yet. Worth a look if they have any spots left.

Camino del Sol is beautiful, but parking is far. Most residents have to use the parking structure by the ARC.

VDC’s internet has gotten better, I haven’t noticed any problems after they fixed the new Cox internet. I live in VDC and I haven’t experienced the lack of hot water problem, but idk.
The AT&T service problem is also true, especially if you live on the first floor. When I’m on the 3rd floor I don’t have as much of a problem, but the 1st floor i can’t even send texts… lol.

and Camino may be pretty, but it’s expensive. i think VDC is more worth the price than Camino Del Sol. (e.g. cheaper for a private bathroom at VDC, and the other VDC leases are generally cheaper). i don’t think living in a brand new townhome is worth the price difference. there may be washers + dryers in the homes Camino but it’s still not worth the increase in cost and hassle of parking… but that’s just me!

If you have a few roommates a UTC apartment isn’t too bad i think it’s cheaper too
