If I was to share my essay with a friend though my inbox on facebook, and on the off chance a college admissions scanned my essay for authenticity, would they be able to see that it's online even though it's in a private inbox? Maybe they'd think it wasn't actually my work or something because it is online. I don't know how everyone shares their essays with each other on this website..

<p>No, they wont find it on a search. They do not have a magic key to the internet. If you cannot find something, neither can they. </p>
<p>And, no, colleges do not share, so it is perfectly acceptable to reuse essays.</p>
