<p>I'm currently a sophomore at Arizona State and I am applying to transfer. Over the past year, I started a business (very small scale math tutoring business that I run out of my apartment). Should I include this on my transfer applications? The only reason I'm hesitant is because of the very small size of the business (only about 50-100 dollars in revenue each month). It's a legitimate registered sole proprietorship, so I pay taxes for it and everything, and I employ two other people. There are several reasons for it being so small scale. First, I work another job and started the tutoring business more for the experience of starting/owning a business rather than to make money, so I'm perfectly content with the little amount of money it makes. Second, most of the people who we tutor are poor college students like ourselves, so we're always open to accept payment in the form of food, DVDs, movie tickets, whatever else the person has lying around. Anyways, would it strengthen my application to include this (I would of course explain the small nature of the business), or would I be better off leaving it out? Any input would be greatly appreciated!</p>
