I was wondering whether or not I could attach a photograph to my long essay. I'm writing about my experiences as being the only girl in my AP Chemistry class, and I have a photograph of my entire class at our junior prom.

Someone told me I should do something similar. Like stick a thumb drive with my paper part of my application with a short powerpoint presentation about myself. I say do it!

I was also wondering if this is a good idea. My essay is about my trip to Kenya, and I thought it might be cool to add a little photo from my trip? Is this forbidden?!

I have listened to lots of admissions talks. Most schools discourage such things and often just discard it. Especially for the thumb drive, they are busy and probably wouldn’t take the time to open up a file in a thumb drive.

What if I just include the picture at the bottom of the word document I upload?

Err, idk. If you can do it. I don’t think it could hurt you but it may not help you much either unless a school specifically says they don’t want any photos/etc. Then they’ll think you can’t follow directions
