Incoherent Rant About My High School Experience: Why I Hated It, and Why I Look Forward to College

Ha Ha. Good rant.

Um, good luck with college…and life and stuff.

@JustOneDad‌ – Your post seems sarcastic. What are you insinuating?

Didn’t you rant that you’re glad to be going to college to get away from all that HS stuff?

@JustOneDad‌ Never mind, I probably misunderstood you post

High school is a pain. I really want it done, not that I’m not doing good for myself, or trying my hardest. I completely understand your rant, and I think so many people can relate to that frustration. Personally, I can’t wait to be around peers with similar interests and higher motivation. I’m at a technology magnet with low morale, and like, 600 - 700 students. It’s not very competitive with GPA and academics, and no one shares my interests in biology. At the same time, I can see how an over-competitive school could have a sour atmosphere. I can only assume that college will be better.

High school is so boring. I hate to be the one to say it, but it truly is. Apart from 2-3 subjects, I really don’t put 100% effort. I was watching a vlog an hour ago and the HS Senior said to relish the 4 years of high school… I can’t even enjoy freshman year. Sleep is probably the only real issue I am faced with (every student struggles in courses here and there).
