Incompetent Teachers

So one of my teachers checked homework today over a packet that I did not get. I received a zero for this. What would you do in this situation? Of course I was upset. She wouldn't budge the grade after I insisted that it wasn't my fault as I previously had a perfect homework record.

ask if there is any other work you can do to at least patially make up the lost points, depending on what class it is, there is a good chance that there is something that can be done to make up for it, extra credit, staying after. whatever you do, dont get into an argument with your teacher about grades that you do and do not recieve, I made that mistake and almost failed math freshman year because my teacher couldnt figure out that she was giving 100s to people that copied my paper, and zeros to me.

I did ask and her response was merely “it won’t affect your grade that much.”

I’m currently a senior applying to HYPS level schools. I’ll be honest and admit that I haven’t given a crap about school this year, perhaps due to senioritis. However, I still manage to pull of A’s in all of my AP classes. This class, though, may be in danger. THis is why I’m so upset. Every point matters.

you have to convince her man

if you didn’t get the packet, i’m assuming you weren’t in class that day. are you on a block schedule, where you don’t go to the same class every day? if you aren’t, then she has no reason to give you a 0 because you had no time to go to her to get that packet. if it is a block schedule, she may have a reason to refuse you credit, unless you were sick or away for a school activity or something
