I have been snooping around here and discovered that some of you have recieved financial aid package reminder emails. Little emails that tell you that you still need to send in the PROFILE or that your parents W-2s are not sent in yet. I know for a fact that mine is not complete and I have not recieved any kind of contact from the financial aid office saying that I need to do something, I know others have this same problem... does this mean I'm screwed or what... this may be totally opinion but its fun to speculate when it's all you can think about.

you really can't wait until the 31st?

bflaug...i have the same problem as u...i guess we're rejcts...well i can say ill be rejected..yep yep..

lets keep up the spirit, no point in losing hope so close to D-day! :)

stop calling it D-Day!!!

d-day

10 characters

call it b-day.. (its my birthday.. the 31st that is.) = P

mine too =>

neha1 - really? wow. lets hope that both of us gets in! = P

haha....yeah
but i juz remembered, if harvard mails it's online decisions at 5 pm, it will be 6 am in singapore of 1st april.....
sigh so either my birthday or april fool's day

D-Day as in Decision Day. Not Doom's day (well, for some, yes).

its ok ... actually i dont know if i even applied for fin aid, or does it do that automatically when you apply for admission

i doubt aid is automatic... u have to fill in forms and all for it separately.. or is it juz for intl??

no, it's everyone.

u have to say on your app that u want to be considered for financial aid

so theres hope... yes!

Has any international being contacted for missing financial aid? I know a friend of mine who applied for aid, did not submit financial aid info and has not been contacted yet ..

I have not been contacted. When I actually faxed the forms last week (including ITR/IRS already), I didn't even receive any notification email from them, whatsoever.

This smells bad.

Actually, "D-Day" never actually meant "doomsday." When the term was originally coined by allied forces for the day of the attack on Normandy in WWII, it was supposed to mean "Designated Day." So its usage on these boards even in its original sense will mean the "Designated Day" for us to find out if we're accepted.

lets stop worrying about this whole financial aid thing.. and move on with our lives. It seems like at least half the people on this board didn't get emails and i guarantee you that not half this board will get rejected.

alixpaul - its probably because she is international.

but if you did get an email, then its probably good news. I don't know, but im hoping its good news(i got two: one non-personalized, one personalized) but it doesnt necesarily mean bad news if you didn't get one. After all, it is financial aid.
