Incorrect AP Score?

Hello everyone!

I am a recent high school graduate and my AP scores were just reported back to me, out of the five exams i took this year, I passed all but AP Statistics. Many people probably face the “i thought i did better” dilemma, but but this came as a surprise to me as I found it to be the easiest exam of the five I took this year. The score report shows I scored a 2 however after doing well in the class and feeling confident on the test I believe I should have received at the very least a 3. My statistics teacher also has a 95% pass rate, and I received an A both semesters in the challenging class.

I then realized a possibility may have been an incorrect scoring of my test, as I used extra sheets of paper in answering for 3 of the FRQs. I called the AP board to see if the extra papers could be sent back to me along with my frq response packet but the both associates I spoke to were unhelpful, and said it could not be done.

I’ve also read of other tests missing pieces, and hope that this could be the case for my frqs (due to the extra paper i used), i’m just not sure how to check on that.

Has anyone had success in raising what they believed to be an incorrect score? And what approach did you use to dispute it? I realize there is also a multiple choice rescore option, and that the success rate of that is low. But i’d like to hear the experiences or advice of some other AP test takers!

IMO, you’re out of luck on this one.

They do not re-grade FRQ’s and since at least part of your FRQ’s were not in the booklet, I’m not sure how you expected them to score this accurately in the first place. The onus was on you to follow the directions. Lessons learned for the future, I guess.

Can someone give me a link to have my AP us government test multiple choice rescored? I had a smudgy eraser when taking the test…I also felt that it was an incredibly easy test and was very surprised that I didn’t even get a 3…
