Incorrect My High School Courses! Please help!

Penn State has a really great "custom" application, not the Common App. I believed my transfer application to the University Park campus was solid (checked my essays with quite a few people, solid extracurriculars in high school and college, I'm currently doing an internship for Boston's #1 radio station) but there was a self-administered "High School Courses" page that I'm afraid has totally ruined my chances.

I signed on to My Penn to check my application status last night and received the message: "High school course requirements have not been met for the chosen major."

I do meet the requirements for the major and degree I am applying for (I was accepted to other schools after high school with no problem) but some of my math courses in high school were these "pilot" programs that also counted as Algebra 1 and 2. I was afraid that because I didn't have application space to explain those courses, Penn State would think I was fabricating my academics, and I figured I would rather select fewer courses and be safe than make them question my honesty. Also, for some reason I didn't include my "Anatomy" course. I just completely forgot about it. It's been 2 years since high school so I should have gone to see my guidance counselor but I couldn't find the time to travel to my old school. What should I do?! The application and materials are not actually due until February 1st (I already submitted the app two weeks ago though and it can be viewed online) I've emailed Penn State admissions and plan on taking a road trip to my old high school on Monday morning to see what I can do, but I'm petrified. It's Saturday morning so both my high school and the PSU admissions office is closed. I want to attend this school so badly and I feel like this silly mistake has either A) Ruined my chances or B) Made me look like a bad applicant who didn't put thought into the application process.

Could I send a whole new application with the correct courses by February 1, or will that just confuse the admissions committee and make me look shady? I'm sorry this is so lengthy, I've just been incredibly stressed out since I saw the message and I'm sure Penn State is extremely busy this close to deadline so I'm not entirely sure if the'll be able to help me in time. Any help or advice is appreciated!

Email the admissions office, and ask them what is the best way to correct the information in your file. Chances are that if you just have an official copy of your high school transcript sent to them, things can be sorted out.

Thank you for your response! I plan to call Monday, hopefully the office isn’t too busy!
