<p>I've heard that there are little things that you could do in order to improve your chances of being accepted to a certain college. For example, I believe visiting a college's campus (for a tour) will show that you really have an interest for that college. What are some other such things you could do in order to increase your chances?</p>
<p>Something that I actually found out was that just by calling the admissions office to ask question that are NOT on the website (admissions officers HATE when you ask questions that can be readily found on the website), you can really do good for your chances
in fact, I know that on the Columbia application, there is a whole question asking if you talked directly with an admissions officer or something like that
