Does anyone know if the increasing enrollment for Princeton will take place this year. I know that they are in the midst of creating room for 500 more undergraduates, but will those spaces be filled with applicants this year (which would thereby increase the acceptance rate) or not?

definitely not for this year; maybe next.

500 more????????/MY GOD. i could be one of them. but since they are not increasing the number this year, i have no hope of getting in now.

It'd be cool if we could sign a petition. :(

or we could drown those admission officers with our tears.

I believe class entering in 2007 is the first to go up. Each class will be 125 students larger. I think the gating issue is dorm construction.

If I could get into Princeton, I dont care about housing. I'd sleep outside.

"If I could get into Princeton, I dont care about housing. I'd sleep outside."

I love that quote :)

The increase was originally scheduled for the fall of 2006, but the new dorm was significantly over budget and had to be redesigned.

That really sucks that the dorm won't be completed for a while...would have given me a little more hope at getting in...ivyboy05, I'd be willing to live outside too if I were admitted to Princeton.

hehe yeah... we could have a row of cardboard boxes right outside of the campus...

hahaha lilianphoebs!!! I would be happy to live in one of those!!!

lol, although it would be hard getting any work done! and i'm not even talking about when the winter snow sets in :p

Well, if I remember right, there's a couple of bridges around Princeton, right?

aww we'll manage... love conquers all hardships, right?

p.s. first dibs on the book right ;)

"If I could get into Princeton, I dont care about housing. I'd sleep outside."

ditto... i won't even mind if they don't provide any of my meal plans.. so room and board is not necessary, period...
